It is often said that we are in the middle of two pandemics – one of COVID and one of anxiety. From the people that I see and the conversations that I have, I know this to be true. While, at first, lockdown may have seemed like quiet time, its impact on mental health has been catastrophic. Humans are loving, social animals and mentally begin to react badly when denied the opportunity to meet and socialise – particularly when there is an overriding climate of fear, such as that created during COVID.
This can manifest itself in many ways both mental, such as a general feeling of always being on edge, always scanning for danger or feeling anxious anxiety about something specific, and physical, such as psoriasis, IBS, fibromyalgia or other unattributable chronic pain or developing dependencies on comfort eating or cigarettes or alcohol. The good news is that all of these are treatable with hypnosis and other related techniques and I can help unlock the “real” you to live a stress free, healthy and fulfilling life.
I am delighted to say that all my services can now be provided online, over Zoom, Skype, Teams, WhatsApp or Facetime, as well as face to face at my clinics.
